Caryl Phillips (innate 13 March 1958) is the British writer by owning a Caribbean background, better called a novelist. He is okay, prof at Yale University and a camping professor at Barnard College of Columbia University.

He was natural on St. Kitts, and was brought up in Leeds, Yorkshire. He page through English at Queen's College, Oxford. He began writing primarily drama. He has tackled themes on the African slave trade from many angles. His function has been recognised by many awards.
